2003 & 2005 MSBL SoCo Champions/2007, 2008 & 2009 MABL Champions
& 2007 City ChampionsWhat About 2010???
Since the Reds have gone into glorious amateur baseball history several former Reds players have gone over to the Jared Goldberg run ball club, the Colorado Springs Brewers. The Brewers will be after their 2nd consecutive NABA SoCo championship. Former Reds Goldberg, Logan Nuss, and Tom Meals enjoyed a double title year in 2009 with the MABL Reds and NABA Brewers. They will be joined in 2010 by former Reds impact players Duggan Moran, Troy Peters and Matt Leake. You can follow the Brewers in 2010 by clicking on the logo below.

What About Coach Hise?
Former SoCo Dodgers and Cs Reds Coach Daryl Hise is going back to the diamond. Not as a coach but as a player. Hise, is now a member of the Colorado Over-50 League's Colorado Springs Zephyrs. Hise has been in training since early January and has had strong bullpen and batting cage sessions. Hise, who hasn't pitched in a game since 2005 is looking forward to the challenges. The Zephyrs finished tied for their division title during the regular season in 2009 and look even stronger for 2010. You can follow the Zephyrs by clicking here.
Reds Shut Down After 15 Seasons
Team Goes Out With 3 Straight Titles

15 seasons, 172 total wins, 5 total league titles, 3 MABL titles, 2 MSBL titles, 12 playoff appearances, 4 division titles, 1 City Championship, and 1 - 4th of July MSBL Regional title. Those were the accomplishments of a team that came into the MSBL/MABL of Southern Colorado in 1995 as the Southern Colorado Dodgers. Changing their name to the Colorado Springs Reds prior to the 2005 season, they then proceeded to have their most successful run.
With several issues not only facing the team but the league, which will not be covered here, it was decided to shut down team operations at the conclusion of the 2009 season. This decision didn't come easy, however after considering other options this seemed the most logical direction to take.
Starting play in 1995, the team made the playoffs in their very 1st season in an already established league. However, the next 3 seasons there was a playoff void. The only period of time in the teams history they failed to qualify for postseason play. At that time there were several more teams in the league and the top 4 regular season finishers in each division made the playoffs.
Beginning in 1999 the team made the playoffs every subsequent season ending with 3 consecutive MABL Championships in 2009.
Close to 130 players have donned the Dodger Blue and/or Reds uniforms since 1995. Coming from all walks of life, military, teachers, self-employed, used car salesmen, truck drivers, business managers, insurance salesmen, Federal Agents, police officers, doctors and the unemployed. Black, white, Asian and Hispanic. The major factor outside of talent was team chemistry.
Starting out as an Over-30 team in 1995, the league changed the age limit to 25 and over in 2001 for the MSBL to aid in recruiting players. Each following season the minimum age increased a year until it topped out at the new national age limit of 28.
In 2007 assuming the local league would follow suit with the national rules and change the league age limit to 25, the team recruited players who were under the age of 28 but over 25. That didn't happen so we decided to move to the 18+ MABL Division instead of dropping those newly signed players. We then proceeded to win the 18+ Championship 3 consecutive seasons in that age level.
I thank all of you for your support during these past several years. It was a joy!
